SDHC flash card is the latest version of SD card with new specifications and features from the SD 1.1 card. It is designed for the high capacity of information storage in such devices as digital cameras, mobile phone, MP3 player, Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), and Notebook / PC etc.

The new SDHC card applies to cards with a capacity of 4 GB or higher; and the devices for SD 1.1 card only do not function with a SDHC card.
